Bike or hike the Bell Isle Trail. Hiking to local waterfalls. Kayak nearby lakes (rentals available). Visit mining and logging museums and Copper Peak, the biggest ski flying jump in the USA. Kayak, rock-hound swim, and or picnic along the shore of Lake Superior. On 8/1, visit Mercer, WI for the annual Loon Festival that includes music, food, arts and crafts and the famous loon calling contest. BBQ at Jack’s house in Ramsay. Fish fry at the VFW and Pizza at Ore House. Lots of other possibilities.
Eddy Park Campground, 316 Chicago Mine Rd, Wakefield, MI
Eddy Park is located on the north east shore of Sunday Lake, along Hwy M-28. $25/day W&E and $125/week (7 days for the price of 5). Reservations are recommended, call 906 229-5131 Ext 1002 prior to Memorial Day, afterwards call Camp Host at 906 224-4481. Jack has worked with the Camp Host to pencil in reservations for our group, some of which are on the water. Please mention the WIN name when you call for reservations so the host will know to use the sites they have designated for us. Jack is also available to help with reservations if needed.
