Circuit: Past Events
Visit Capitol Reef National Park and discover the Waterpocket Fold, and other hidden treasures. Day trips to Escalante, Hole in the Rock Wall, Capital Reef and so much more. There are fifteen day hiking trails, from easy strolls to strenuous hikes. Park Staff offer a variety of interpretive programs and hikes. Buy locally-baked fruit pies and homemade ice cream at The Gifford House store and museum, and if you get there early enough in the day they have killer cinnamon rolls.
1280 West Beas Lewis Flat Road, Torrey, UT. This is a hilly area and host should get there a day before to pick out parking areas. Go Slow and those that run their generators should park a bit of a distance from the group as a courtesy.
These are the directions from Bryce. There are actually 3 routes and everyone needs to decide for themselves which is the better route for them. Here are the 2 better routes. The GPS will be very helpful.
One route takes you along Hwy 12, which is very scenic, but curvy, steep in parts and may have some construction. Look for the sign for 1280 West Bees Lewis Flat Road. This is a dirt road on the right coming from UT-24 East, follow the WIN signs.
The other route take you out and around using UT-89 and UT- 62. This route take less time but is more mileage. The turn off to 1280 West Bees Lewis Flat Road is at N38.2984268,W111.3931856
