Lots of activities and shopping here with Fort Myers, Punta Gorda, and Port Charlotte close by.
Fort Myers: Fleamaster flea market, Edison-Ford Museum, Manatee Park, Sanibel Island and Darling Wildlife Refuge (drive or bike). Punta Gorda: Gilchrist Park music jamming, Tuesday and Thursday starting about 5:30-8:30 bluegrass and oldies, dance; lots of biking along waterfront. Also, free shooting range at Webb WMA. You are here over New Years and may want to plan something special.

Directions and Other Information

Cecil Webb WMA [Wildlife Management Area] Punta Gorda area, I-75, exit 158. Go east on Tuckers Grade for 0.2 mi. Turn right at entrance gate. Fee ($27 annual non-resident permit covers all WMA areas If you are a senior AND a resident of Florida, you do NOT need a permit. ALL OTHER campers should have a State of Florida Fish and Wildlife Recreation Permit, available from sporting goods stores and Wal-Mart (hunting and fishing counter) for $27. It s good for one year. Even though there is not a charge for the camp site, RESERVATIONS NEED TO BE MADE ASAP AT https:/myfwc.com/recreation/lead/babcockwebb/things-to-do/camping/
No fees, but you will get an email with a form that is to be displayed in your RV.
