We will visit quaint Rocheport, a wine garden high atop the bluffs, and hike or bike the Katy trail where it winds between the mighty Missouri River and towering bluffs and through a RR tunnel (Bike Rentals available here). Visit Boone’s Lick and follow a wooded trail that leads to salt springs where Boone’s sons manufactured salt. Van Meter SP has “old fort” trails and boardwalk trail through a wetland area. Visit Boonville riverfront area, Katy Depot, and Arrow Rock State Historic Site. Visit Jefferson City Landing and Clark’s Hill at Norton State Historic Site and take short hike to view area.

From US-50 W take the Eastland Drive exit, turn left onto Eastland Dr for 2.3 miles. There is only one electrical hookup, but they have plenty of area for dry camping, upper and lower lots. Thursday evening when you arrive, the Elks will be having a Fried Chicken Dinner for $8. They also have a very nice Friday night menu that is reasonably priced – and DANCING on Saturday evening from 4-7 with a live band. If possible, the coordinator or host of this site should call the Club Manager, Barb at (573) 636-9533, the day before arrival, with an approximate number of campers and an approximate number for the fried chicken dinner.
