Activity Ideas

A must do will be the Crazy Horse Spring Volksmarch (an organized hike), which is a 10K (6.2-mile) woodlands ramble to the world’s largest Mountain Carving in progress in the southern Black Hills of South Dakota. The hike will be on both June 1st and 2nd. We will bike segments of the George S Mickelson Trail, a 109 mile Rail-Trail with a crushed stone surface. This trail runs through the heart of the Black Hills, connecting Deadwood with Edgemont , and has nearly 100 converted railroad bridges and 4 tunnels, and much of it traverses national forest. Other adventures include a visit to the Wind Cave National Park and the Jewel Cave National Monument.
