Get water, dump, propane, fuel at Gordy’s Truck Plaza on Hwy 97 north of La Pine just north of railroad track crossing. Observe posted speed in central Oregon.

the Cascades Lake National Scenic Byway.

From Globe go north on Hwy 188 approx. 25 miles to MM-240. Turn right into Windy Hill Recreation Site. Turn left on Mule Deer, then left on Jackrabbit. Park near top of the loop.

Update for Roosevelt Lake. The current fee is $8.00/day, no golden age or golden access accepted, Leftover hang tags for camping are good until 6/30/2016. This is the current status quoted as of 2/24/2016. The forest seems to be in transition and is subject to change. Call Lake Roosevelt Visitors Center at 928-467-3200 to verify update.

Tonto National Forest Service has turned over campgrounds to Concessionaires and fees are now $8 a night (RV or RV+tow). There is no senior discount. Concessionaires are putting in fee machines at every campground. No fee machines available at Windy Hill Campground, Purchase a Daily Use Pass ($8) at Lake Roosevelt Visitor Center or at Lake House Grill (Hwy 188, MM 234). When you turn in to Lake House Grill, stay to right of building then left directly behind building to RV parking on the north side.
An additional Tonto Pass is required to park a tow-vehicle lakeside and is available online or at Lake Roosevelt Visitors Center.

From I-19 take exit 34 (Tubac). RVs over 40 ft. should check this road-there is one 90 degree, one lane turn up and over RR tracks that might be too tight. At exit 34 go north on East Frontage Rd. to Bridge Rd. Turn right (east) onto Bridge Rd. At stop sign turn right and go about ½ mile to the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue to a dirt road on the left. Turn left onto the gravel road, then turn right over RR tracks. Continue straight onto the tree-lined road, which makes a right and then a left turn. On the right is an old adobe wall-on the leftis the turn into the Flying W Park-large level field.
