The QUARTZSITE RENDEZVOUS is one of the WIN’s largest gatherings with sometimes as many as 150 members. Big tent event is January 16-24 this year. There is dancing at QIA, the Yacht Club, Silly Al’s and some other locations around town. Don’t forget the Solo’s usually host a dance also. Silly Al’s unbeatable pizza and many other places to eat. Vendors everywhere with every variety of merchandise to sell imaginable. RV STUFF all over!!! Repair places available and RV dealers. Blyth Blue Grass festival on Jan 15-17. At the WIN camp there are pot lucks, ice cream socials for all singles clubs, evening fires, workshops and seminars. Our 2 weeks here are very full and busy. Of course you can hike, bike and 4-wheel!!!

Shower at RV park. Fee for dry camping is $5 a night.

Christmas festivities include tree (bush) decorating, gift exchange on Christmas morning ($10 limit NO white elephant gifts) and Christmas Day dinner at the VFW.
New Year’s Eve there is a dance someplace and finger food brunch on New Year’s morning. Dance every day at the VFW or one of the local RV parks or Roadrunner Ballroom. Visit Old Town Yuma or the Territorial Prison. Great shopping, dining and repair opportunities in Yuma. Go to Los Algodones, Mexico for dental work, eye exams, fish tacos or margaritas. 4-wheeling and biking.

Off I-8 take exit 12 (Fortuna Rd). Go north on Fortuna to US 95-turn right. Follow 95 to the VFW (on right side of road shortly after curve. Turn in at VFW sign and go behind building. You will see a fenced area with a gate and a camp host. Parking is free-limit of 14 days-check in as soon as you park. Dumps and water available in Yuma. Use Sanidump App to locate.

Celebrate our 20th Thanksgiving Anniversary here. Turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry
sauce, rolls and pumpkin pie will be purchased with funds from the gathering fee. There will be a sign-up sheet for you to bring something else to share. We will enjoy leftovers for dinner the Friday after Thanksgiving and any remaining will be offered with soup on Saturday. Sunday an ice cream social will be provided, finances permitting.
Please let us know if you will be arriving after the 23rd (Monday) and plan to join us for dinner so that we may plan enough for everyone.
Please bring firewood if you can.
Take a trip to nearby Julian for apple pie. Tour Borrego Springs and view the many metal sculptures scattered around. Hiking, biking, 4-wheeling, games and birding aplenty.

Between Ocean City and Ocean Shores on west side of SR-115 going south to Ocean Shores. Beautiful ocean view and soft surf sounds. No RV parking in main paved lot or along seawall. Go past boat ramp to campground. May not be a dump at this park (they were still working on building one), but there is water and toilets.
