Something new! We are going to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico for the holidays this year. Our Thanksgiving in Puerto Peñasco was so successful, we decided to do it again and to extend it. We will be staying through New Years at our favorite place, Concha Del Mar Campground. It will be a great time to relax and enjoy seaside fun and views. And, if you want to stay busy, there are lots of activities including shopping, walking on the beach, karaoke, kayaking, sightseeing, fishing, kite flying, whale and dolphin watching plus the GREAT PIRATE SHIP where we have a lot of dancing, games and fun. Hopefully, we will also have our famous Annual Puerto Peñasco Hermit Crab Races along with a hat contest and parade for both the men and the women.
We will also be raising money to buy food to feed the poor in Puerto Peñasco. Since this comes close to the Christmas Holidays, if you want to bring down extra clothes, food, toys, etc., to donate to the various groups that are in need, please do so. Edgar will help distribute to those in need.
Being there for Thanksgiving, what recipes can we come up with? Be creative. Remember that shrimp and fish are plentiful there and fairly inexpensive. We can also get chicken there… but turkeys??? Tamales are wonderful, and I am sure some people could bring down a turkey breast or leg to cook or barbecue. Get creative and plan a little in advance. There is also a good possibility that we will have pig roast around the Christmas. There are tons of places to go out to eat with a variety of great food and reasonable prices. Please note, you will need to be a WIN member by the stop in Organ Pipe to get our rate.
If you’re wanting to caravan with other WINs, two groups are going, one on November 13th and one on November 15th. Diane Nelson 612-220-9848 will be at Organ Pipe November 11th and 12th and will go into Mexico on the 13th. The group leaving on the 15th will be organized at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument campground. Click for more updated information for Puerto Pensaco 2022, with detailed information about all of the fun activities there.

There are services that will do this for you that cost a lot more. Enjoy walks on the beach, kite flying, hiking, the fun PiritePirate ship ride with dancing and game as we watch the sunset, and s dancing, sand castle building and so much more. We may also have our famous Hermit crab races. This is also a good place to get work on your rig/vehicles. They do great work on the inside or outside of your vehicles along with some very creative painting. Whatever you need done, ask Edgar. He will also have your vehicles washed and waxed at a very reasonable cost.
Best of all we will be doing Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years down there so come up with your best recipes for a very different fun time. In the past we brought gifts for children as well as raised money to help feed the very poor. We start doing that at the dance Rally at FOY.
This will also be a great time to have to have a Christmas (Feliz De Navidad) gift exchange , $10 limit. Bring gifts to donate and lets have a gift exchange, ($10 max)
