Fort Clatsop National Park offers guided kayak trips on the river, call (503) 861-4425 to make reservations and for more information. There are also interpretative events at the Fort; movies; a guided river walk; visitors center; and, surrounding area to learn how The Corps of Discovery lived in 1805-6. Fort Stevens: wreck of the Peter Iredale, beach walks, wild life viewing, WWII military installation, views of the mouth of the Columbia. Cape Disappointment Lighthouse and Lewis and Clark National Historical Park, Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center has the only items from The Corps of Discovery in this area; view of the mouth of the Columbia from the Washington side; north of Cape Disappointment is North Head Lighthouse open to public for tours; ship wreck. Seaside and Return of the Salt Makers: first person reenactment of the production of salt for The Corps of Discovery return trip. Astoria: farmers market on Sunday; Astoria Column; Columbia River Maritime Museum; Liberty Theater; Flavel House.
