Fort Clatsop National Park offers guided kayak trips on the river, call (503) 861-4425 to make reservations and for more information. There are also interpretative events at the Fort; movies; a guided river walk; visitors center; and, surrounding area to learn how The Corps of Discovery lived in 1805-6. Fort Stevens: wreck of the Peter Iredale, beach walks, wild life viewing, WWII military installation, views of the mouth of the Columbia. Cape Disappointment Lighthouse and Lewis and Clark National Historical Park, Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center has the only items from The Corps of Discovery in this area; view of the mouth of the Columbia from the Washington side; north of Cape Disappointment is North Head Lighthouse open to public for tours; ship wreck. Seaside and Return of the Salt Makers: first person reenactment of the production of salt for The Corps of Discovery return trip. Astoria: farmers market on Sunday; Astoria Column; Columbia River Maritime Museum; Liberty Theater; Flavel House.

Directions and Other Information

From OR-202 go East on Walluski Loop, arrive at the Fairgrounds in .3 miles.  The campground is reserved for 7 days from August 13th until August 20th. It will be $200 for the week, which includes water and electric. Any additional days are $35 per day.  There is a small bathroom with showers. There is no dump. You must make your own reservation and prepay by August 1st by filling out the online form – http://www.clatsopcofairexpo.com/p/fair/313   or printing the form and mailing it to them. Also, you MUST put down in the “Message Us” box that you are with the WINS. If you do not, your reservation will NOT BE HONORED as the WINS are the only ones able to make reservations before August 1. Be sure and give them your email address so they can send you a confirmation. If you pay by using the online form there is a 3% bank credit card fee. It’s first come first served as far as where you will park. We have 13-15 people committed to going and there is room for 25
